 Profile: Technical Schools for Applied Sciences, Qualification & Professionalisation
This business unit offers initial and advanced vocational training for the following sectors: children and youth care, care of the elderly, healthcare and work for disabled persons. Educators, nurses for the elderly and remedial teachers are trained in three state-approved private schools.
We offer management diploma and the technical background for missions of care, education, vocational training, consulting and care. Institutions and public service offices get tailor-made in-house-assistance and consultancy for the development of their own concepts. In-service qualification is at the very heart of our activities.
Qualification and technical progress are achieved through well-established alliances with training institutions and the world of practice. We understand teaching and learning as an interactive process.
Our guidelines are: professionalism comes from solid technical, social, staff and methodological competence. Effectiveness and sustainability of professional under-takings depend on the capacity to pool knowledge and experience and to try out new things. They are the result of an individual’s self-initiative and the institution’s support of his or her value as a skilled and resourceful individual.
We develop and publish, on our own or in other specialised editions, schoolbooks and teaching documents for practice and research as well as our qualification criteria.
